New Intelligence of the 21st Century
Does the house where we live mean something?

Whether it is the décor, furniture, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, the colour scheme that we choose, the lifestyle etc, these are areas where we express our taste, singularity, cleanliness or dirtiness, order or disorder, originality or extravagance... everything relating to the identity of the owner.

Do we behave differently outside our home than inside?

We do not deny that this is a way of respect and refinement however it is also a way of disguising or hiding what we really are. Are we as respectful and refined in our privacy? What about physical cleanliness, in our body, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom..? Do we clean daily with perseverance and continuity or do we neglect it? Are we generally inclined to hygiene with eagerness and assiduity as we often show ourselves before our guests?

Is our house very important in our psychological change?

Our house, our way of dressing, the type of food we eat, our liking for a particular fashion, the small secrets that we keep, the music that we listen to, the annoying noise that we provoke... show a lot of what we truly are. There is a Chinese proverb that says: "Before starting the task of changing the world, turn three times around your own house."

Our conduct is the only proof of the sincerity of our heart.

Charles Thomson Rees Wilson
